Useful Resources

Internet was a great resource to improve my level in english pronunciation. Besides watching my series in english, I used several websites throughout the semester and listening to some podcasts, especially this last month because I realized that hearing english was as good as speaking to increase my skills in pronunciation.

Here are some of the websites that helped me in my work :
The Collins Dictionnary was perfect for me because they have a special part of the website for english learners which includes audio files for each word but also phonetic transcription of those words.

Rhinospike is a very clever website. Indeed, it provides you the opportunity to ask a native speaker to read a word, sentence, or even a longer text for you in order to hear the correct way to pronounce it.

Rachel is a youtuber who is specialzed in american english pronunciation. She is very pedagogue and her videos are really helpful to understand better the functioning of the english language.

Manythings.com is a very simple website but also very useful as it allows us to train differentiating the different sounds that are existing in the english language.

Podcasts

At the beginning of the semester, I didn't know the CBC website could be such a good help. When I discovered it, I tried to listen regularly to some recordings and also to watch videos. I personaly prefer listening to the sound only because I think it helps me to concentrate more on the pronunciation than on the image. Here are some Podcasts that I listened those last weeks :
